Today, Pastor Karen shared from the Gospel of John Chapter 19. While the other Gospels give a graphic account of Christ’s crucifixion, John’s is more intimate. He shares about Pilate’s hesitance and reluctance to crucify Christ. He relates that Jesus trusted him with his mom and asked him to look after her. Jesus made sure that everything that needed to transpire and every prophesy that needed to be fulfilled was satisfied. Then he said “I thirst”. He received some sour wine on a sponge and said “It is Finished” and gave up His Spirit.  He shares with us about Jesus being buried in a tomb in a garden-remember Life began in a garden, Jesus was kissed and betrayed in a garden which he frequented, and now Christ is buried in the new tomb of Joseph of Arimathea who was a secret disciple of Christ, in a garden. Nicodemus (another secret disciple)  brought aloe and burial spices.

We hope to see you next week as we study the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus.

JESUS LOVES YOU!
