Today December 17th, 2017 was Family Day and We had a blessed day in Jesus!

We started off our service in a time of fellowship

Then We had some praise and worship with Liz and Desire

Rico opened up the floor for some testimonies and we heard some exciting testimonies including a father being restored with his son, full custody.

Then Dave and Debbie led us in some more praise and worship

Pastor Ron blessed us with a Message on Living as the New Creation

Our text from Ephesians 4 beginning in verse 17

17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. 18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. 19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. 20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to put off your old self,[f] which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

The Word tells us in 1 Pe 1:16 Be Holy as I am Holy. As believers we are called to be set apart and be holy, no longer conformed to the pattern of this world but transformed by the renewing of our minds in Christ. Paul exhorts the church in Ephesus, that as believers they must no longer live according to the standards of the world. They must be beacons of light. The world should be able to tell the difference between Christians and non Christians through the way that we live and speak. Ephesians was written to believers. These believers were rich in heavenly things but lived though they were beggars. Ephesians 1-3 tells us what our Spiritual Bank Account is-we have abundant treasures in our bank account through Christ. Ephesians 4-6 tells us to how to walk in those riches. We must put off the old self which is corrupted by lust and walk in the power of the newness of life given to us by the Holy Spirit.

Afterward we had baptisms. Today 2 men and 1 woman outwardly demonstrated the inward change Christ is making through them by receiving baptism.

Afterward a delicious potluck was enjoyed by all.

We thank the Lord for everything he is doing in us through us and to us. We thank Him for His love, His grace, and His Mercy shown toward us. We thank Him for His Sacrifice He made for us on the cross. And we thank Him for you, our beloved Family, with Christ as our head. We look forward to sharing the time with you this week and always at Set Free Church of the High Desert. We have opportunities to be the church through out the week with Outreaches, Food Ministries, and Wednesday Night Bible Study. Come be a part! Jesus Loves You!
