Today is President’s Day in honor of George Washington’s Birthday (Which actually falls on Feb 22)

On President’s Day we honor the incumbent president as well as all persons who have in the past held the office of President of the United States. It is important on this holiday to remember to pray for our leaders-that it is the Lord Himself who establishes kings: “He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.” (Daniel 2:21) In Romans 13:1 the Word of God tells us:”Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God.” We need to pray for those that God has placed in authority over us. Take the time today and pray our President and for those whom God has placed in authority over us that they seek God’s will for this country and make wise decisions leading our nation.

Remember:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
