Jason Melendy’s Testimony

Hello my name is Jason Patrick Melendy. I was born November 29th, 1992. When I was born, I was born into a separated home. What I mean by this is that my mom was divorced by my father to whom I never had the opportunity of meeting. While working as a waitress in San Francisco, CA she met a man by the name of Roger Allen Emmons who was serving in the Navy. Now they had gotten involved and he offered to take her, my brother and me to Japan and off we went. While there, my mom and this man Roger had gotten married. Now I remember while growing up my mom was very abusive both physically and mentally. I had started going to church at an early age even though my mom and my step dad would stay at home. I also knew that I did not belong there because I knew that I was different. I started my drug usage at an early age. I had gotten so bad throughout my young life and I was sent to live in Foster Placement. There I learned different ways to do whatever it took to get whatever I needed to feel “numb” and I did not care about what I had to do to do it. In February of 1994 I first found Christ and had discovered Set Free. Back then I was in this ministry for about a year and a half. I left in order to go back out into the worked. After a few years and a real long relapse I knew it was time to come home. I can honestly say it has truly been worth it. Luke 9:62 reads:

“ And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” I am so very grateful that my hands are on the plow for today and the rest of my life. Keep holding on!! Sincerely Yours Jason Patrick Melendy.
