My name is Fred Torres and this is my testimony. Last year I gave my life to Christ and my life has never been the same since—but two months ago I took my eyes off the Lord and started to slip back to my old behavior instead of praying to my Lord or seeking his counsel I slipped into a deep depression, jumped in my car and slit both my wrists open, but God was with me. No matter how hard I tried, I missed every major vein and artery. Then I came back here to the ranch and the support and love I got from my brothers here blew my mind. Even people who I met here who are no longer here drove up here to see me and tell me how they love me and how I helped them in their walk with the Lord. It was around that time that I realized…once you give your life to the Lord, it is no longer yours to do as you please but you are also never alone in Christ. Even though it may feel like it sometimes, the Lord is there waiting for you to call on him, so I urge you all when times get hard and you give  up on yourself to remember God and how he never gives up on us and seek him and He will direct your paths in accordance to His will. I have no idea why God chose to let me live that day, but I do know that I am His and I need to live like it.
